Don't the emergency services already provide security advice and asssistance?
This kind of help and protection is offered in varying degree by emergency services around the world. However, there are frequent occasions when incidents involving personal security are outside the scope of the emergency services and as a result, many of our clients rely on their membership and our highly experienced red24 personnel to support them in difficult situations.
If I am in trouble, why would I contact Global Asset Protection rather than my embassy, consulate or local law enforcement?
You should certainly contact your consulate or embassy. You may consider contacting local law enforcement but this should be done after thought and consultation rather than automatically. Your embassy does play an important role when things go wrong overseas. We however, differ from them in the following ways:

Why do I need GAP membership as well as travel insurance?
Travel insurance can provide excellent protection for all matters related to your arrangements or should you become ill whilst travelling. It is primarily a financial safeguard. However, GAP/red24 membership will enhance this cover by providing further proactive protection for your safety and security. Travel insurance may have a number of safeguards and exclusions such as a terrorism exclusion. GAP/red24 membership should be regarded as an addition to your basic travel insurance, to cover you, your family and your employees in the event of a security or safety problem or crisis.
